4-DAY fly-in SAFARI

SERENGETI & NGORONGORO CRATER

This 4-day Tanzania Safari allows to visit the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and  Tarangire National Park

"Safari inside two uNESCO world heritage sites plus tarangire "

Day 1:

After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Arusha Airport (ARK) for your morning flight into Seronera Airstrip (central Serengeti). Your safari guide will be waiting for you and you will go straightaway into a game drive inside the Serengeti. There will be a pause for a picnic-style lunch then game viewing will continue until late afternoon when we take you to your tented camp accommodation where you can relax, enjoy dinner, and a good night’s sleep.

Day 2

The day is yours to divide up between game viewing and enjoyment of the accommodation. There is an option for an early morning balloon safari above the Serengeti plains (advance reservations are required and an additional cost of $600/person for this option). Depending on what plans you have communicated to your safari guide, lunch can be enjoyed picnic-style while on a game drive or at your accommodation. By the evening, we will return to the same accommodation as the previous night for relaxation, dinner, and overnight rest.

Day 3

A very busy day today. We wake up early for breakfast then depart, traveling east game viewing along the way entering into Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA). Driving across the NCA we reach Ngorongoro Crater and descend down the 600m (2,000ft) crater wall into one of the best safari destinations in Africa. The beauty of the crater itself is worth the visit but there is a large number and a wide variety of safari animals here, including the “Big Five” – elephants, AFrican buffaloes, rhinocerous, lions, and leopards. This destination is not very large, just 20km in diameter so in 3 – 4 hours all will be seen. At that time we ascend out of the crater, exit the NCA, and head to our accommodation near the town of Karatu.

Day 4

On our last day together, we drive to Tarangire National Park. It is not uncommon here to see very larger herds of elephants roaming through Tarangire’s savannah grasses, drinking from the Tarangire River which winds its way through the park, or taking shade beneath the odd-looking “upside-down trees” (baobab) whcih are dotting the landscape. In the mid-afternoon we will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha/Moshi, or to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) to conclude this itinerary.
